What is Blood Suckers?

Turkish law enforcement agencies have launched a sweeping operation targeting illegal betting networks across eight provinces. It follows investigations that uncovered financial transactions linked to 177 suspects. 

According to local reporting on Monday, the Interior Ministry confirmed that accounts connected with the suspects had exhibited suspicious financial activity amounting to 17.75 billion lira ($365.8 million). 

Coordinated efforts between the government’s cybercrime and anti-smuggling units, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and local prosecutors led to raids in the provinces of Adıyaman, Konya, Manisa, Muğla, Tekirdağ, Siirt, Muş and Çorum.

“Our aim is to create an environment in which regulators, operators and suppliers can engage constructively on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry across the continent,” Kesitilwe stated.

Collaboration was a key focus of the inaugural Africa Safer Gambling Week, which the AiA hosted last week.

Then my life went into a sort of holding pattern for the next few years. I was getting tired of freelancing. It was too limiting, and I wanted to start my own thing. Then, one month later, the end of the world as we know it actually happened. The Coronombie Apocalypse, everyone masked up and the Fed printed a skrillion dollars and I lost most of my other freelance arrangements as everyone went into hiding and confusion and pandemonium.

But the groundwork for my own thing had already been laid, as did the actual global backdrop for speeding up what I was already predicting was going to happen anyway. So I focused up and got it started. I still wrote for CalvinAyre.com though, which actually hung on, to my pleasant surprise.
